Our Journey

At Stirling Suites, we’ve poured our hearts into restoring this historic 1914 heritage building while preserving the character and charm that make it unique. Working alongside local architects and skilled craftsmen, every detail of the renovation was thoughtfully completed with care, quality, and respect for the building’s history.

We’re Elon and Marika, lifelong Nelson residents and proud owners of Stirling Suites for over 12 years. Our restoration journey began in 2014 with the vision of transforming this historic property into a modern boutique hotel experience for visitors to Nelson, BC. After years of careful planning and renovation, we proudly unveiled our fully redesigned suites in December 2022.

Every design choice — from the spacious layouts to the finishing details — was made with guest comfort in mind. Today, Stirling Suites offers a welcoming boutique hotel experience that blends historic charm, modern convenience, and the relaxed spirit of the Kootenays.
